We’re happy to officially launch the “Project Repository of IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022” today, which is a corporate report that congregated and summarized last year’s winner projects and other noteworthy projects from the IoT2Wild Contest.
On October 15th-16th, Hendra Kusumah, one of the IoT2Wild Contest winners in our global open source community, flew to Bali, Indonesia, with the intention to share his latest environmental conservation project, deliver a talk on a #Tech4Good topic, and facilitate 2 hands-on workshops at Bali Fab Fest 2022. As Seeed Studio is a Community Partner for Bali Fab Fest, we’re happy to have supported Hendra’s trip to the event, as well as sponsored SenseCAP K1100 Kits for his workshop participants.
To continue the avid #IoT2Wild discourse and our efforts on wildlife, biodiversity, and environmental conservation, we’d like to share a good news that Seeed’s Field Application Engineer, Mario De Los Santos, will be joining ‘GOSH Gathering 2022’ in Panama from October 26th to 29th, in an effort to organize 3 hands-on workshops on AI, IoT, Embedded Systems, and open source hardware design.

During the 4-months-long journey of “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022” by Seeed Studio, we received 122 completed project documentation submissions to be considered for final Awards. The winners will be announced online, at Hackster’s Impact Summit, on October 11th, 14:15P.M.-14:30P.M. by PST. Therefore, REGISTER NOW to Impact Summit and watch the winner announcement on LIVE.
Seeed’s “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022” has been increasingly receiving a lot of attention, love, and support all over the world. To date, 527 people have registered as contest participants, and most of them are finalizing their project documentation to catch the deadline for project submission. To help the participants make much clearer project documentations, we’re happy to share the updated judging criteria in advance! Even better, we’re officially releasing SenseCraft v0.2!
Currently, Seeed Studio is running “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Plant 2022” on Hackster.io. To date, we’ve received 207 free hardware applications, along with 500+ people registered as the Contest participants. As the free hardware application has been closed on August 8th, we’ve selected 26 free hardware applicants as the last batch to send out the free hardware kit next week.

In an effort to inspire a broader number of potential participants, as well as to facilitate the makers and innovators to start their projects early-on, we’ve selected 28 free hardware applicants to send out the free hardware kit next week.
We’re happy to announce that ‘Helium Award’ is now added to Seeed’s open source innovation contest – “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022”. Funded by Helium, ‘Helium Award’ is designed to select 11 winners in total. With this addition of ‘Helium Award’, we’ve decided to extend the deadline of the free hardware application until August 8, 2022 at 23:59 P.M. (PT).
