For this post, we’ll cover 6 awesome projects from the community, exciting events & courses, new products, success cases in agriculture, poultry farming, and greenhouse, 2 new ready-to-deploy IIoT solutions and even secret recipes of prototyping and manufacturing.
SenseCAP LoRaWAN gateway and sensors were deployed in the IoTea Project to monitor crucial environmental data needed to ensure the optimal tea quality in Ya’an of Southwest China. Through this Project, the overall tea plantation management costs have been lowered, economic yields have been increased, and the tea plantation’s brand image has been upgraded to attract customers who care about food traceability and sustainability. By doing so, the IoTea Project achieves the UN’s SDGs 8, 9, 12, 10, 11, 1, 5, 6, 7, 2, 4, 13, 15, 16 and 17.
Beishao Triticale Field Project elaborates on a deployment scenario of SenseCAP LoRaWAN gateway and sensors for smart agriculture solutions in a triticale field of Dingzhou City in Northern China. This will advance resource-efficiency, environmental traceability, and sustainable technological applications on the field. As a result, this will facilitate self-empowerment of the farmers to manage their triticale fields more precisely by grasping the crop’s conditions and needs with less labor inputs, and later gain higher yields. Overall, this Project contributes to the UN’s SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 17.
Smart Poultry Farming Project depicts how SenseCAP LoRaWAN gateway and sensors are transforming the traditional animal husbandry industry sustainably, by harnessing IoT environmental sensing and monitoring for environmental variables of poultry farms. This Project seeks to advance the UN’s SDGs 2, 3, 4, 8, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13 and 17.
Laiwu Tropical Fruit Cultivation Project portrays a successful case of our SenseCAP LoRaWAN series applied to smart greenhouse farming of tropical fruits in Northern China. Through this Project, Northern farmers are equipped with new knowledge on automated greenhouse control, and the value of precision farming. By doing so, the Project can positively influence the UN’s SDGs 10, 2, 1, 8, 9, 12, 11, 16, 13 and 17.
In order to accelerate precision farming to maintain an optimal level of environmental conditions tailored to the growth and health of livestock in multiple housing sites, Seeed and Machinechat collaborated to make a ready-to-be-deployed IIoT solution, that measures, transfers, aggregates, and visualizes the real-time environmental data of temperature, humidity, light intensity, and air quality.
Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge Project illustrates a case on AI and IoT-enabled cherry tomato production at a greenhouse enabled by Seeed’s SenseCAP LoRaWAN sensors and gateway. Thereby, this Project can contribute to technological innovation of the traditional agriculture sector, help cultivate sustainable food produce by lowering negative environmental impacts, and enhance the UN’s SDGs 2, 1, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 17.
Seeed’s IIoT devices – SenseCAP LoRaWAN sensors and gateway – that measures and transfers the data of temperature, humidity, moisture and light intensity – and Machinechat’s software platform (JEDI One) collaborated to accelerate development and deployment of various environmental-monitoring scenarios to optimize greenhouse operations.
Xiankeng Village Project describes how Seeed’s partnership with Vanke has contributed to China’s rural revitalization efforts, by helping out rural farmers to monitor their rice paddies more intelligently, and to encourage local tourism in order to enhance their livelihoods. By using the SenseCAP IIoT solution, this Project seeks to contribute to the UN’s SDGs 1, 8, 9, 11 and 17.
Baoneng Cold Chain Warehouse Project introduces how Seeed’s SenseCAP series is helping food industry players to manage their products intelligently and safely to reduce time, resources, and wastes, and to contribute to the UN’s SDGs 12, 3, 9 and 17.
For this post, we’ll cover 10 awesome projects from the community, contest, giveaway and campaigns that we’re running, new products, IIoT Solutions and even secret recipes of prototyping and manufacturing.
