We’re happy to announce that ‘Helium Award’ is now added to Seeed’s open source innovation contest – “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022”. Funded by Helium, ‘Helium Award’ is designed to select 11 winners in total. With this addition of ‘Helium Award’, we’ve decided to extend the deadline of the free hardware application until August 8, 2022 at 23:59 P.M. (PT).

Currently, Seeed Studio is running “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Plant 2022” on Hackster.io. So far, we’ve received 107 free hardware applications, along with 300+ people registered as the Contest participants. In an effort to inspire a broader number of potential participants, as well as to facilitate the makers and innovators to start their projects early-on, we’ve selected 23 free hardware applicants to send out the free hardware kit next week.

So far, we’ve received 45 free hardware applications, along with 200+ people registered as the Contest participants. In an effort to inspire a broader number of potential participants, as well as to facilitate the makers and innovators to start their projects early-on, we’ve selected 27 free hardware applicants to send out Seeed Studio LoRaWAN Dev Kit next week.

We hope that open tech can lay an important foundation for achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
