SDG Summer School 2022 Wrap-up: Students’ AI Data Analytics Solution Facilitated by Seeed at Chaihuo x.factory, Supported by WHO, The Global Fund, Geneva Tsinghua Initiative, Partisia Blockchain, and More

“SDG Summer School 2022: Open Source Health Solutions” was physically organized in Chaihuo x.factory in July, Shenzhen, China. This event was spearheaded by Geneva Tsinghua Initiative (GTI) and supported by the Global Fund, WHO, Seeed Studio, University of Geneva, Université de Paris, Learning Planet Institute, and Partisia Blockchain. As a result, participants in Shenzhen came up with an AI data analytics solution to tackle Challenge 6. By doing so, SDG Summer School 2022 seeks to contribute to the achievement of the UN’s SDGs.

As Seeed Studio is a corporate partner for the SDG Summer School 2022, we will be sponsoring the maker space venue for participants in Shenzhen. Guess what! It’s going to be at the amazing Chaihuo x.factory! By cooperating with the Geneva Tsinghua Initiative, WHO, the Global Fund, and the Institute of Global Health at University of Geneva we are happy to officially open the application form for participants in China to join the SDG Summer School 2022 in Shenzhen.

Seeed Participates in Tsinghua University-Led “SDG Open Hack” as a Mentor and Sponsor for Students’ Smart and Sustainable Community Projects

To encourage and foster an environment where university students’ creativity, enthusiastic hearts, and innovative solution ideas on sustainable development challenges can be nurtured, “SDG Open Hack” has been organized annually since 2019. Ever since the Hack was held, Seeed Studio has been an engaged partner to contribute to the advancement of SDGs in the academic realm through mentoring and sponsoring open source hardware products. In this two-day event, students came up with innovative solutions on elderly care, waste management, digital recycling, cultural heritage protection, and shared economy, by incorporating the application of science and technology. Thereby, SDG Open Hack sought to achieve the UN’s SDGs 4, 12, 11, 17, 5, 9, 13 and 16.

SDG Summer School 2021: Students’ Open Source Health Solutions Facilitated by Chaihuo Maker Space, Geneva Tsinghua Initiative, UNITAR, and Others

In an effort to encourage high school and university students to address SDGs in practical and rapid manners, “SDG Summer School 2021: Open Source Health Solutions” was organized in July in Switzerland (Geneva), France (Paris), South Korea (Seoul), China (Shenzhen), Singapore, and Chile. This was organized by Geneva Tsinghua Initiative (GTI) and supported by its manifold partners, including Chaihuo Maker Space and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). As a result, participants came up with open source hardware and software solutions to tackle health-related challenges. This hands-on educational program seeks to achieve the UN’s SDGs 3, 4, 5, 12, 9, 10 and 17.
