NVIDIA JetPack SDK powers NVIDIA Jetson modules, offering a comprehensive solution for building end-to-end accelerated AI applications. JetPack 6 expands the Jetson platform’s flexibility and scalability with microservices and a host of new features. It’s the most downloaded version of JetPack in 2024.

Jetson Platform Services also provides an IoT cloud module that enables clients to be authenticated and authorized when accessing these APIs remotely. This IoT cloud module is cloud agnostic and can run from any public or private cloud.

JetPack 6.0 is the first production release of JetPack 6. The previous JetPack 6.0 Developer Preview was for development on Jetson Orin with JetPack 6.0 stack. This JetPack 6.0 release includes Jetson Linux 36.3 which packs Linux Kernel 5.15 and Ubuntu 22.04-based root file system. Jetson AI stack packaged with this JetPack 6 release includes CUDA 12.2, Tensorrt 8.6, cuDNN 8.9 and VPI 3.1. JetPack 6 supports all NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules and developer kits.

This latest release of NVIDIA Jetson Platform Services now makes it easy and accessible to build Generative AI applications for the edge. The latest release includes:
- Reference workflows for: AI-NVR, Zero Shot Detection, and Vision Language Models (VLM)
- 15+ services, including Generative AI services, foundation services, and more
- Streaming Generative AI services for vision language model and zero-shot detection with APIs for dynamic prompting and stream update
- DeepStream-based AI perception service for object detection and tracking with APIs for stream update
- Media management and storage service with support for streaming protocol such as RTSP and WebRTC
- Core foundation services like IoT Gateway, API Gateway, monitoring, and system bus
