Green Techmakers Online Mentoring Session

Green Techmakers is a program that will focus on hands-on learning and emphasize real-world application, ensuring that every lesson learned translates directly into impactful solutions for the green technology sector. The curriculum will be composed of a 3-week Online Training Sessions followed by an intensive 5-day Offline Training & Implementation conducted in Bali. It consists of 10 Startup Teams from Indonesia as the participants.

This program is Powered by Kerja sama Jerman (Work with German), GIZ, and the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia while also supported by Kopernik and Fablab Bali. Alongside the organizations involved in the event, Seeed is listed as one of the potential mentors and experts.

As a Seeed Ranger, I was trusted to become a mentor for this event. I am responsible for 3 days of Online sessions to share about 3 topics AI, ML, and IoT.

1. Artificial Intelligence Session, June 24th 2024

In this session, I am sharing about the recent AI and Machine Learning product from Seeed Studio that enables Generative AI to be implemented in various kinds of applications. I also explain the benefit of deploying generative AI on Edge Device compared to the cloud platform.

2. Machine Learning Session, June 25th 2024

This session is focused on deploying a tinyml solution using the Xiao ESP32S3 Sense and Grove Vision AI V2 module. After explaining about the basics of tinyml and how to create a custom data model, I do a live the demo using the sensecraft platform for the participants.

3. Internet of Things, June 26th 2024

For this session, I am focusing on the Lora concept using the Lora e5 module as the IoT solution to capture and send the data to the dashboard. I explain about basics of P2P Lora communication using the tutorial I made 2 years ago and the next level Lora deployment using the LoraWan solution from the sensecap lines of products.

It was a pleasant 3 day experience giving the participants new insight into the recent AI and IoT technology that could help their proposed solution for the Green Techmakers event.

After the online session, there will be an offline mentoring session that will be held in Fablab Bali in the middle of July. Hopefully, the participants could realize their proposed solution and deploy it to the public in the future
