Meet Seeed Studio at FAB23 BHUTAN from July 16-28
Hey Community,
We are delighted to share the exciting news that we will be participating as a partner at the highly anticipated Fab23 Bhutan hosted by The Fab Foundation, Fab City Foundation, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck SuperFablab and Druk Holding & Investments (DHI). Taking place from July 16th to 28th. FAB23 Bhutan is the 19th edition of the International Fab Lab Conference and Symposium, which is the world’s largest and most strategic digital fabrication event.
This remarkable event comprises four distinct programs, each offering a unique experience with a specific objective. Seeed Studio will be participating in and supporting the event in various capacities. Let’s dive into the exciting programs:
1
The Fab Bhutan Challenge (July 16th-22nd) focuses on five challenging problems: Climate Adaptive Agriculture, Water Conservation, Human-Wildlife Conflict, Waste Management, and Assistive Technology. As a supporter, we will provide the XIAO series, SenseCAP series, Grove sensors, and other accessories to empower participants in creating innovative solutions, particularly addressing challenges in Climate Adaptive Agriculture, Water Conservation, and Human-Wildlife Conflict.
2
The Fab Festival (July 23rd) is a one-day public event that brings digital fabrication to the local community. Families and makers alike are encouraged to join in the festivities, participate in hands-on workshops, engage in playful competitions, and attend technical talks by renowned makers and innovators.

The Conference and Symposium (July 24th-27th) is a pivotal event in the digital fabrication community, attracting makers, educators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from around the globe. It serves as a platform for learning, innovation, and collaboration, with the aim of advancing the fields of digital fabrication, manufacturing, and AI development, among others. Notably, on July 24th, we lend our support to three events:
- Technology (R&D) Symposium: Our founder, Eric Pan, will share insights on IoT from 12:30-14:00.
- Hands-on Workshop: “Understanding and Building an Advanced Perception System” from 15:00-17:00. This workshop guides participants through the journey of understanding the importance of data, learning methods for accurate data collection, and building advanced perception systems for a more resilient future. Examples encompass air quality monitoring, regenerative farming, wildlife protection, and other scenarios.
- Hands-on Workshop: “How to add machine learning to almost anything?”, utilizing XIAO ESP32S3 Sense, from 17:00-19:00. In this workshop, we will explore machine learning applications on very popular embedded AI devices: Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 Sense, a tiny yet powerful tool to get started with intelligent voice and vision AI.

The Fab City Summit is the final program, where participants have the opportunity to share experiences, knowledge, and ideas, learn from one another, and collaborate on innovative solutions to the challenges facing cities today.
During the event, we will also showcase our advanced perception systems, solutions, and souvenirs in a small booth on-site. Among the impressive products on display will be SenseCAP A1101- – LoRaWAN Vision AI Sensor, SenseCAP S2110 Sensor Builder, SenseCAP S2100 – LoRaWAN® Data Logger, reTerminal, SenseCAP M2 Multi-Platform LoRaWAN Indoor Gateway, Grove Series, XIAO Series, and more. We extend a warm invitation to all community members to visit and explore more.
We are incredibly excited to be part of Fab23 Bhutan and eagerly anticipate connecting with like-minded individuals who share our passion for innovation and technology. See you soon in Thimphu!
