Dear Community,
Time really flies, doesn’t it? During the 4-months-long journey of “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022” (aka ‘#IoT2Wild Contest’ for brevity) by Seeed Studio, 561 people registered as contest participants, and 104 people won a free hardware kit (= SenseCAP K1100 – The Sensor Prototype Kit). By September 27th (23:59P.M. PST), we received 122 completed project documentation submissions to be considered by 10 judges for final Awards. With the judges’ evaluations and discussions, 27 applicants will be selected as final winners for 5 types of Awards – that’s worthy of $18,000+ in prizes!!!
So, when and where is it going to happen? The winners will be announced online, at Hackster’s Impact Summit, on October 11th, at 14:15P.M.-14:30P.M. by PST. Hackster’s Impact Summit is a free, 2-day-long, virtual event, which is dedicated to inspire developers, connect multi-stakeholders together, and accelerate the usage of technological innovations for conserving our Mother Earth. Since the Impact Summit shares common values of #AIoT4SDGs and #OpenTech4SDGs with #IoT2Wild Contest, we thought that it’s the perfect occasion to do our winner announcement within this event. On this backdrop, we decided to become a sponsor of the Impact Summit for this significant collaboration. That’s why, according to the Impact Summit period, we’ve changed the originally-set winner announcement date (October 10th) to be October 11th now. Therefore, REGISTER NOW to Impact Summit and watch the winner announcement (15 minutes) on LIVE: https://events.hackster.io/impactsummit
So, the 15-minute-short winner announcement will be moderated by Seeed’s Sustainability and CSR Manager (Ye Seong SHIN) with the following programs:
- Introduction of IoT2Wild Contest & Seeed Studio
- Welcoming remarks by a representative judge
- 27 winner announcement
Given the time limits at the Impact Summit, we’re planning to organize a follow-up Seeed webinar in October or November this year. This will be served as the highlight event of Seeed’s #IoT2Wild Contest by shedding light on 27 winners and their selected projects. In this follow-up webinar, the winners will be able to share what their projects are about with the global open source community, why and how they developed it, and what’s going to be their future plans on using #OpenTech4SDGs and/or #AIoT4SDGs. Stay tuned for further webinar updates on Seeed’s LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Discord Community, and #IoT2Wild Contest ‘Discussion’ Tab! Let’s see who’s going to be the final 27 winners on October 11th! 😀
