Meet the Raspberry Pi 400 Personal Computer Kit – an all-in-one pocket PC solution with a keyboard and mouse
After announcing in October The New Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 4 IO Board, The Raspberry Pi Foundation continues bringing us new hardware: Raspberry Pi 400 Personal Computer Kit with the U.S version and UK version. Now you can pre-order both two versions at $100.
There are many of the same features as Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, however, Raspberry Pi 400 is built with the look of a 78-key keyboard that integrated a computer inside, a slightly faster Broadcom BCM2711C0 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz compared with 1.5GHz of Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
When you get Raspberry Pi 4 in hands. A lot of people choose to get a keyboard and mouse together to build it as the PC desktop. Now Raspberry Pi 400 will be your all-in-one pocket solution without the Raspberry Pi 4 computer.
Do you want a Raspberry Pi 4 but don’t have a keyboard or mouse to get started? Raspberry Pi 400 is the solution. It is basically a keyboard, combined with a custom-designed PCB that has similar specifications as a Raspberry Pi 4. Furthermore, it contains everything you need to get started with an included mouse and a 16GB micro-SD card pre-installed with Raspberry Pi OS.
Featuring a quad-core 64-bit processor, wireless networking, dual-display output, and 4K video playback, Raspberry Pi 400 is a complete personal computer, built into a compact keyboard.
It is ideal for surfing the web, creating and editing documents, watching videos, and learning to program using the Raspberry Pi OS desktop environment.
Specifications and Compare with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB
Compare with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB, Raspberry Pi 400 has a slightly more powerful processor: Broadcom BCM2711 quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.8GHz. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB has more ports choices for video and sound output as well as the power connectors.
Raspberry Pi 400 with Mouse, 16GB micro-SD card, micro-HDMI to HDMI-A cable, and Power adapter with micro-USB cable costs $100 in total. However, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB only costs $55. The extra $45 including everything else you need for the PC solution is ideal and attractive.
