Projects with Wio Terminal: TinyML Powered Artificial Nose That Identifies Booze using Edge Impulse
We are glad to see the awesome hacking projects made by Benjamin Cabé. The project was powered by TinyML, using Edge Impulse and Wio Terminal. We will share this awesome project process in this blog and look forward to more projects from the community!

Benjamin is working on a new IoT project, which using machine learning (TinyML) and gas sensors to re-create an artificial nose. make with Wio Terminal? Now he has finished the 3D enclosure using Blender and an existing 3D model he bought from SketchFab! Let’s take a look!
We can tell in the picture the Wio Terminal was connected with our Grove – Multichannel Gas Sensor, newly released at the end of April, to read accurate gas data. Now you can make your own tiny “wine tasting” AI device!
Grove – Multichannel Gas Sensor V2 provides stable and reliable gases detecting function under the circumstances of any other four sorts of gases. It can detect a variety of gases, besides Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen dioxide (NO2), Ethyl alcohol(C2H5CH), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), and etc.
We will keep updating community feedback, projects, tutorials, and resources for Wio Terminal! Don’t hesitate to share with us!
