New Revision of Jetson Nano Dev Kit – Now supports new Jetson Nano Module

You’ve probably heard of the Jetson Nano Developer Kit which is able to run modern AI workloads at unprecedented size, power, and cost.

It is now getting refreshed! The A02 Jetson Nano carrier board for the old Developer kit will be now replaced with a new B01 revised carrier board.

What is different?

Firstly, the B01 developer kit carrier board is now compatible with the new Jetson Nano module for those who are looking to design a product. The Jetson Nano module comes along with collateral necessary too for users to be able to create form-factor and use-case, specific carrier boards.

In addition, the carrier board has also been updated to support the production of an upcoming Jetson Xavier NX Module which would be available in the coming March 2020.

Secondly, there are some minor changes in the peripherals on the carrier board of Jetson Nano Developer Kit B01. Here are some photos highlighting the changes of the Jetson Nano Developer Kit carrier board:

In summary, here are the changes that were done to the new B01 Jetson Nano Developer Kit Carrier Board:

  • 1 additional camera connector (J49)
  • Removed Button header (J40)
  • Removed Serial Port Header (J44)
  • Changed the position of Power Select Header (J48)
  • Change the position of camera connector 1 (J13)

Lastly, the refreshed B01 developer kit is now updated with Nvidia newly released Jetpack 4.3 which includes new versions of TensorRT, cuDNN, improved AI inference performance by 25% which further improves the performance and efficiency of DLA, CSI and encode with containers. In addition, Jetpack 4.3 also includes a new Debian package based installation mechanism for all JetPack components.

    So the Xavier NX implemented on the Nano devkit, will be without the Heatsink, right?
    i will need to purchase a dedicated heatsink for the Xavier NX.
