Seeed Fusion Releases New Kitting Service!

After months of hard work, test runs and plenty of mistakes, we’re celebrating this week, because we are delighted to announce our new Seeed Fusion Kitting service!

Whether you are a professional engineer or just a part-time hobbyist, Seeed Fusion services and Seeed products are tailored for a myriad of hardware needs. Serving the international community for over 10 years, we have always made it our priority to improve and expand our services according to our customers’ needs. Therefore, it gives us great pleasure to offer even more customization with the Seeed Fusion Kitting service!

Whether you are a hobbyist looking to distribute solder-it-yourself kits at the local Maker Faire, or an inventor looking to package the finished goods for your Kickstarter release, or even if you are just looking to make a customized Grove starter kit complete with your own -Duino or Pi and selection of modules, no matter what purpose you have in mind, the Seeed Fusion Kitting service enables you to create your own personalized kit complete with personalized packaging and printing material. Handpick parts of your choice whether they’re from the Seeed Bazaar, the Seeed Open Parts Library (OPL) or elsewhere, and bundle them up with your customized PCBs to create an original kit.

Simply visit our Seeed Fusion Kitting service order platform and upload the Bill of Materials and design files to start the process. Seeed Bazaar products and Seeed OPL parts can be matched directly with live pricing and stock status. Then upload some fancy packing designs and printing material and our kitting service team will evaluate your requirements and get back to you with a competitive quote.

New Seeed Fusion Kitting Service Web platform

Seeed’s sourcing and kitting capabilities are nothing new. We’ve been doing this for as long as we remember with both Seeed’s own products and customer projects. Take for example, good friend and educator, Mitch Altman of cornfieldelectronics.com and organizer of the annual Hacker Trip to China. Mitch travels worldwide teaching soldering and electronics to people of all ages. This time, Mitch is working with Seeed to produce 1000 kits of his “I can solder badge”. Seeed is helping to manufacture the PCBs, print the labels, source the loose parts, and package them neatly into little bags.

“The “I Can Solder Badge” kit is an open hardware project. It is a simple, fun, inexpensive kit for anyone to learn to solder. And then you can wear it with pride :). You can turn on the color-changing blinky light, or press the button for a flashlight.”

The kits will soon be available to purchase online and will travel with Mitch to his soldering classes worldwide.

“I’ve used Seeed Studio several times for quickly and easily making fun kits for conferences. This project has gone very smoothly, from idea to being ready-to-ship in 8 weeks.”

The Seeed Fusion Kitting service brings together many elements of Seeed and local Shenzhen resources. We hope this new service will become an invaluable addition to the Seeed Fusion family. That said, this is just the beginning. We will continue to make improvements and integrate more features, so stay tuned! Whether you’re making custom Pi kits, solder yourself kits or just want to build boxes of Grove goodies, be sure to check it out and get your own kit from as little as 5 sets!
