Grove Zero modules can be snapped and play in many ways, which is because its magnetic connectors.
Grove Zero has edge connectors to be inserted into a pair of detachable and replaceable 3-Way Magnetic connectors which can transform them into magnet-powered modules, allow you to snap the modules together with the Magic of Magnets in arrays, stacks, or any way you want. 
Inside the magnetic connector is a pair of strong magnets and 11 specially designed conductors that forms a super flexible connector which can be connected in three different directions: downward Connection, side Connection, upward Connection.
