Weekly product release: Grove IoT Commercial Developer Kit
The Grove IoT Commercial Developer Kit is co-produced by Intel and Seeed for Internet of Things (IoT) developers. The kit includes the Intel® NUC Kit DE3815TYKE, which is a pint-sized desktop computer that allows you to work, play, create, entertain and inspire in any room. The kit also comes with an Arduino 101 development board and a bunch of well-chosen Grove modules that can be perfectly applied into your IoT projects.
Intel® NUC Kit DE3815TYKE
This pint-sized package is a small device with big performance. It takes the capabilities of a complete desktop system and packs it all into a sleek 7.48″ x 4.56″ x 1.57″ chassis. The kit features the Intel® Atom™ processor E3815 (512KB Cache, 1.46 GHz), which has a thermal design power (TDP) at only 5W so you won’t even feel the heat. It has an internal support for 2.5-inch HDD or SSD · Built-in 4 GB eMMC deive, while allows an expansion up to 8GB of 1333/1600 MHz DDR3L memory via SO-DIMM slot · Half-length mini PCIe* slot. More features of the kit can be found in the table below:
Most importantly this Intel® NUC Kit has been pre-installed with an IoT Development System that is designed by Intel to better help the developers create their IoT devices using the Grove modules from Seeed.
Arduino 101
Arduino 1010 is a development board that delivers the performance and low-power consumption of the Intel® Curie™ Module with the simplicity of Arduino at an entry-level price.
It keeps the same robust form factor and peripheral list of the UNO with the addition of onboard Bluetooth LE capabilities and a 6-axis accelerometer/gyro to help you easily expand your creativity into the connected world.
More info about this board can be found in here.
The Grove modules
The kit provides an Arduino compatible Grove Base shield and a bunch of rich-featured Grove modules that covers a wide range of applications: The Grove – Piezo Vibration Sensor for motion detection, the Grove – Temperature Sensor_V1.1 for temperature measurement and the Grove – Sound Sensor_V1.2 for voice sensing etc. With the pre-installed IoT Development System in the Intel® NUC Kit DE3815TYKE and Arduino 101, you can set up your IoT project and turn your idea into real thing easily and quickly.
