Electric Runway Covers MakeFashion 2016 using Seeed Products
MakeFashion, a high-tech, high-fashion runway show in Calgary, Alberta. More than 100 artists, designers, and makers collaborated to produce 50 one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces that incorporate new technologies such as Seeed’s GSR sensors, xadow duinos, 3D printing, and projection mapping. Fashion Tech Journalist Amanda Cosco made a video of MakeFashion to take us inside MakeFashion, show us the intersection of fashion and technology.
One of the outfits called Nexxus, showing the bond between mother and daughter. Also, the skirts are powered by a Xadow Duino. Another Design, Soft Power, each outfit uses galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors housed inside a pleather glove. When the wearer gets nervous , it will get activated and send the signal to the outfit.
