Guess&Giveaway #SeeedHit 7th
I couldn’t wait to show you the project – .
Let’s take a initial look without the solar panel, it’s made up of
- 1 LinkIT ONE with antenna
- 6 sensors
- 1 base shield
It seems to be a outdoor data logger~
So, what are those Grove sensors, have a look from the behind.
Those sensors are:
- Barometer (BMP180)
- Light sensor
- 3-Axis digital accelerometer
- UV sensor
- Tem & Humi
- Dust sensor
Wow, it’s an automatic weather station with GSM short message warning feature. The shell is not water proof, it’s not well designed yet. The 3-Axis digital accelerometer is added to detect accidental falls.
There’s even something hide behind, a lipo rider acts as the bridge between lipo battery and solar panel.
We agree that sam’s answer is detailed and constructive, congratulation!
Here goes the puzzle:
This seem to be a Grove based heart rate pulse sensor.
There are optical sensor and the enclosed bright LED build into a single component.
Further dig in Github…and this is a Grove based Gesture Sensor.

Oh, the 20438a was on the last board as well. Maybe that’s just a customer number your PCB fab puts on the board or something like that?
Looks like a Grove module with an optical sensor of some kind. My best guess is an optical mouse or proximity sensor module but it could also be an optical finger print reader.
The 20438a on the silkscreen should be a give-away but I can’t find anything likely.
This one looks to be an optical pulse sensors. I see transistors and caps that are a little confusing but a closer look points to a reflective type pulse/oxymetery sensor.
Ah yep, I reckon you’re probably right. I should have thought of that….
Appears to be a Grove based humidity sensor.
