Arduino Day Shenzhen Review: Celebrate Arduino’s Birthday! #ArduinoD15
Arduino Day was held on 28th, March in Chaihuo Maker Space. Seeed Studio and Chaihuo
Maker Space prepared a party for Arduino fans. This activity attracted more than 60 people.
Some of them came from far away, even from the northeastern of China.
Let’s review what happened in Arduino Day!
#Part One Arduino X Sharing
Chao Zhang, young seeeder engineer from R&D department introduced the history and
evolution of Arduino. Although not many audiences knew how to use Arduino, they were
willling to try out.
Shihui Jin, architect. Master of Advanced Architecture-Digital Tectonics in IAAC.
Shihui brought a very creative topic: Arduino, Architecture and Art. It is very intuitive
to allow audiences understanding different possibilities of Arduino.

#Part Two Arduino X Demos
Six makers made a brief description of their demos. Each maker had one desk, audiences
chose the demo which they were interested in, and rotated every ten minutes.
#Part Three Arduino X Workshop: DIY A Lightning Cloud
Make an indoor lightning Cloud, hang it up right over your door mat, blast whoever passing
under it, feel the the beauty of nature in the house.
You need:
- A small lanternand some cotton
- Seeeduino + Grove – Base Shield X 1
- Wall Adapter Power Supply – 9V C 1A X 1
- Digital RGB LED Flexi-Strip 30 LED – 1 Meter X 1
- Grove – Ultrasonic Ranger X 1
- Grove – Universal 4 Pin Buckled Cables at 20 cm and 50 cm

Children were very interested in Arduino. They completed their works with teacher’s help.
