DIY: Automatic Antenna-winding Machine
Guess what is this “crude” machine?
It’s a manual coil winder for making coils, such as the coils to be soldered on the following product:
We noticed that the above manual coil winder is not user-friendly and it’s time-consuming. And we’ve been thinking about how to solve the problem and make it more efficient for the workers. As makers ourselves, the geeks here at Seeed love to put ideas into action. And finally we have an automatic antenna-winding machine.
To lower the cost, we used a 42 step-motor, gear, screw shaft and linearity rail to make it rotate and convey the coil forward simultaneously. Besides, we also use Hercules Dual Motor Controller and some simple programming for drive control. With the CNC milling machine and lathe to make some non-standard parts.
And voila, we have an automatic antenna-winding machine!
