Espruino & Open Parts Library
Espruino is the world’s first open source JavaScript microcontroller for beginners or experts.
Espruino is a small computer that anyone can use to control things around them. Its JavaScript interpreter gives you instant feedback so that you can experiment and develop whatever your level of experience. Even if you can’t program, you can still get started quickly with our Web-based graphical code editor!
This project has got funded within 4 day after launching on Kickstarter. Congratulations!
We are so honored to know that almost all the components of the prototype of this project are from our Open Parts Library. Here is what Gordon Williams, the creator of Espruino says:
Pretty much all components are from Seeed’s Open Parts Library – which means that when the schematics are released, you’ll be able to easily make your own PCBs without having to try and source parts from several different manufacturers.
Super glad to know that OPL (Open Parts Library) has helped in this project!
Since the release of OPL v1, we’ve got a lot of feedbacks from the community. And we are happy to tell you that OPL v2 will be available to the community soon. Now we would LOVE to hear your voice about OPL v2. Tell us your expectations for OPL v2 by commenting on this blog or email to [email protected]. We will take your ideas/suggestions/complaints into serious consideration. Hope Open Parts Library can be a very capable assistant for you in the process of design and prototyping.
