New Product Post

The CAN-BUS Shield is finally here!  As I mentioned two weeks ago, we now have a vehicle bus designed to work in automotive applications.  The shield enables your Arduino or Seeeduino to talk to vehicle engine management systems.

Here at Seeed, my colleagues came up with a great project utilizing this product to create an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system for your car.  (See picture above.)    We also knew that our customers were very clever, so we held a giveaway to find five more creative uses for the shield.  The applicants with the five best ideas will win a free CAN-Bus Shield.  We’ll be announcing the winners shortly.

As you may know, one of the hottest items out there right now is 3D printers.  There are many different brands, but whether you’re using the Makerbot Replicator Dual Extrusion, the RepRap, the Ultimaker or another system, Seeed has multi-colored filament to fulfill your printer needs.  We’ve imported basic colors in ABS filament and the bio-friendly, corn-based filament, PLA, and we’re selling them at a sweet price.  We’re currently searching for more surprising specs  to add to our catalog.  Keep checking back under our new Accessories sub-category, 3D Printer Filament, to discover our new choices.  If you have any specific requests, let us know.

Lastly, we’ve been making improvements to our Grove line.  We’ve designed panel mounted versions of two of our HID devices, the Grove – Rotary Angle Sensor (P) and the Grove – Button (P).  Now with the Grove connectors moved to the back of the boards, your users can enjoy wire-free interactions with the sensor or the button.

On the other hand, we regulated a servo into a Grove – Servo to make it more convenient for our Grove lovers. Check it out if you are about start to the mechanic structure or love the jumpers free experience of Grove.

That’s all for now.  Until next time, keep on making.
