New Product Post

Last week we embraced color and light and looked at different colored EL wire, 10cm square EL panels, the 10 segment Grove – LED bar, and the 7 Segment Display digital building blocks.  This week we’ll be looking at three new Grove products that you can integrate into your current projects or utilize in new ones.

First we have the Grove – LED Strip Driver.  In conjunction with the Arduino or Seeeduino, it is a handy tool that controls the luminance of a single color LED strip or the color of an RGB LED strip.  It has two terminals:  a 2-pin terminal for the power and a 4-pin terminal that connects it to the LED strip.  It also has two Grove connectors which are labeled “In” and “Out.”  The “In” connector connects the driver to your Arduino or Seeeduino, and the “Out” connector can be used to cascade your strips for a larger display.

Next up, we have the Grove – Slide Potentiometer.  This linear variable resistor in suited to many applications such as volume control or a Human Interface Device (HID) for games.  It has a total resistance of 10k, measures 30mm in length, and includes an indicator LED which can digitally display the change in the potentiometer.

Last but not least, we have the Grove – 4 Pin to Grove 4 Pin Converter Cable (5PCs Pack).  These are a must when you want to avoid messing with jumper wires and just simply connect a Grove element to a standard 0.1” 4-pin design, such as the CUI32Stem board.

That’s all for now.  Until next time, keep on making.
