New Product Post

It’s Monday! I prepared another new product post for you. We do have a good collection of new products this week. Let’s check it out.

First, we have a new RF Explorer 2.4G model. RF Explorer is a portable digital spectrum analyzer at a very reasonable price. It’s based on a highly integrated frequency synthesizer which offers high performance, small size, low consumption and low cost. Also, it’s capable of outdoor using benefit from the well-designed case, and can be connected to a PC for extra function by using a standard mini-USB 2.0 connector.

There’s a new ADK theme kit! ADK Dash kit provides a modular solution to easily play with the ADK boards. It boosts Android devices with most mind-blowing functions like RFID, Range Finder, Relay, etc. Also, we designed a brand-new packaging box to specially carrying the whole set of components. A neat package contains basic stuff you need in an ADK project, and the kit is much cheaper than you get everything separately.

Don’t like the prepared kit stuff? That’s fine. We now launch an optional choice to you. Customize your Grove Kit is a new service that returns the option to you that enables you to build up the Grove kits on your command. Customization, Convenience, Fun, and Saving, what else you can expect. Please check out the previous post if you’re not sure how to order.

We have a new mbed prototyping board. The mbed NXP LPC1768 board lets you create prototypes without having to work with low-level microcontroller details, so you can experiment and iterate faster than ever. Designers compose and compile embedded software using a browser-based IDE, then download it quickly and easily, using a simple drag and-drop function, to the board’s NXP Cortex-M3 microcontroller LPC1768. You can be more adventurous, inventive, and productive with a mbed.

We have a new Stem as well. The Mega Shield is an extension board for Arduino Mega and Google ADK. In this new shield, some of the connectors were standardized into 4 pins (Signal 1, Signal 2, VCC and GND) 2mm header, and the rest were remain the same as 3 pins (Signal, VCC and GND) 2.54mm header for Servo and Electronic Bricks which simplify the wiring of electronic projects.

We also have a sort of new twigs. First, Twig – Thumb Joystick is a similarity of the analog joysticks on PlayStation 2 controllers. It offers a common control style for your project and robots.

There’s new Twig – Gas Sensor. We got two models this time, MQ2 and MQ5. They’re both useful for detecting gas leakage either at home base or for industrial application. The differences between these two models are MQ2 is especially good at smelling smoke and MQ5 on the other hand is better in natural gas.

We also prepare a full range of Grove cables. We know that different applications may require various cables in length so we now do the shortest one from 5cm to the longest one of 50cm. They’re all universal 4 pin buckled cable made for the Grove System to connect the stems and the twigs for quick prototyping.
