Spreading Open hardware in ‘Wiser Camp 2011’

This monday, Me, Liao, Hao and Tully visited Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, we were invited to join the Wiser Camp 2011. It is a workshop for sharing and accumulating creativity among the change makers from all over the world. Participant from different places with diverse.

During this event, people go on stage to share what they found, what they made. We introduced Arduino to those students tell them what Arduino is, what Arduino can do, and what is ‘Creative Common’. Even most of them don’t know much about electronics, they were absolutely attracted by this little magical board.

We brought some projects made by Seeed Studio, Those young people really love these gadgets. Its’ good to see people attracted but it’s not good enough. We need to built a space to let them play with electronics. So our next plan is move our office to a much bigger space, (1250 square meters) and the old office will open for all electronic hobbyist as a Hacker Space. We will also set a booth in this space so people can easily buy stuff here and start playing with them immediately .
