Magic mirror at Maker Faire

We are keeping our eyes on the Maker Faire these days. Lots of cool stuff and geeks with imagination at Maker Faire this year. It’s really a paradise from which no-one ever wants to go home. We do hope we can get a chance to set our feet to it to catch with the old friends and new ones some day.
Our friend Al, a maker by night (wife permitting) was invented to set up a tooth to show his awesome Magic Mirror. He turned the extra PC lying around into this which plays animations based on input from various sensors. You may know more details here.
He also added 2 features into the kit shown at Maker Faire, really cool actually. One is the new Breathalyzer feature (the alcohol sensor is hidden in the microphone) was a big hit especially with attendees who had ingested a few beers. The other is the new Text to Speech feature which allows users to customize the Magic Mirror responses.
Wish Al’s booth is not always full of the crowd, so he can have a chance to look around.
