A NEW WAVE OF PARTS ARE COMING!

Our catalog has been idling for a quite while, nothing remarkable is added to the shelf. We are improving our internal process and trimming catalog for better services,  it takes tremendous efforts from everybody, but worthy preparing for the long run.

One of the improvement is order handling. You may already found in recent parcel that most of our products are now labelled with barcode, thanks our super IT engineer for creating the fulfillment system. Every parcel content will be double checked item by item to ensure the match, just like the POS system in market. We believe this will minimize handling error. More details will be posted later.

For the catalog, we have trimed to about 200 products, the affected products are either 1) Combined to packages for easier handling and cheaper price.  or 2) Substitued by a more common or advanced model. You could find the discountined products in final sale zone, with 50% discount and some sadness. We believe that it is a subjective decision, but we need to push this forward for better service. Please let us know if there is any resurrection you want suggest, we will seriously consider your request.

On the other hand, our engineers and designers are working hard on new ideas, you will see~~

First, there will be Seeeduino Film, an extreme small (2cm *2cm per unit)and slim Arduino compatible board which is *cuttable, *scrollable, *chainable, *Slip-into-your-sleeve-able… Btw, it has USB, breadboard friendly, full pin-out, Li-Po friendly. 🙂 Give us some time to validate the prototype then tear off the hood…

And, a music Shield able to play Mp3, ogg and etc high quality compressed audios, and … support iPod compatible peripherals! Hope this could open some feasibility to hack i-accessories for Arduino.

Relay shield – “Bee” compatible shield with 4 channels of relay control, stackable if you want to control more.

RFID Pro shield – An all-in-one 125khz RFID shield with professional functions ready to implement.

DSO nano would be upgraded in about 1 month, a few trival improvements to make production easier.

And a lot more electronic bricks…

We couldn’t estimate the schedule until the NPI is started after design validation, we don’t want deadline to hinder a throughoutly considered creation. We would try open source our RnD projects in the forum www.seeedstudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10, keep posted and posting 🙂

And, Solar panels. We have stocked 100 pcs and sold out much sooner than we thought. A 1000 pcs batch will arrive within this week, they will be sold at non-profit. Instead of donating, this is the best way we could think of supporting the eco friendly projects. Please suggest similar needs!
