Use the Seeeduino as a UartSB

As the Rainbowduino sell like hot cakes, more and more Email comes to ask how to program the Rainbowduino without UartSB. The solution is use a seeeduino to program it.

It’s very easy to do this. Hook up the seeeduino to Rainbowduino, RX to RX, TX to TX, and DTR to DTR, also connect the VCC and GND.

And set up the Reset switcher to manual.

And just run the ArduinoIDE to download the code, then it can be programed to Rainbowduino.

Which must be careful is to make sure the Serial ports is no used when program the Rainbowduino. We suggest you had better to program a void code into seeeduino to make sure the RX and TX is free.
