Wio Link has reached funding goal in 5hrs and thanks all for your support! :-)
Hi Friends,
What an exciting week! 🙂 Seeed new Kickstarter campaign – Wio Link has came to Kickstarter this Wednesday and reached the funding goal $20,000 in only 5 hours! Now the pledges has been increasing steadily. Thanks all for your support!
Wio Link is an ESP8266 based open-source, Wi-Fi solution to simplify IoT development by virtualizing plug-n-play modules to Web of Things.
Funding status by 23:59pm (PT), Dec 3, 2015
The idea of Wio Link came from one of Seeed senior software engineers. The traditional methodology of building IoT applications is very challenging, which often consists of several stages such as electronic engineering, micro-controller programming, network programming, IoT protocols handling and application development. Each one involves with various hardware and software knowledge. And Wio Link has simplified the process by virtualizing plug-n-play hardware into RESTful APIs, thus software engineers can focus on the development of applications. No micro-controller programming, no breadboard, no jumper wires or soldering. This time, we redefine the way of IoT development. 🙂
“The best thing of Wio Link is that it only cost me a few minutes to set up the hardware pieces and after that I’ll be able to get back to the world of Python. Also all the sensor data and module controls are achieved directly with the json support from Python.” Said Jack Shao, one of Seeed in-house developers.
The Wio Link Kickstarter Campaign will last for 1 month from Dec 2, 2015 to Jan 6, 2016. The pledges packages starts from $9 Early Bird Pack to $1,499 Hackathon Set and the backers are expected to receive products in March, 2016.
Here’re the stretch goals of $20,000 and $50,000, what do you expect if we get to the $100,000? Come on and tell us want you want! 🙂
Congratulations!
